The Sizzler is a mass-production model of combat mecha modeled after Gunbuster. 800 units in this model were used in the final battle against the Space Monsters, one of which was piloted by Jung Freud.
Appearance[]
The Sizzler stands at about 130 meters tall, just over half the height of the original Gunbuster. Its weight is 2,900 tons. Unlike Gunbuster, the Sizzler is powered by only one Degeneracy Generator, which has a power output of 1026 joules per second - equal to the output of the Sun. Its armor has a special lightwave coating that absorbs ether shockwaves while traveling at sub-lightspeed. The Sizzler is offered in three color variants: Black, White, and Silver.
Weapons and Abilities[]
- Sizzler Beam
- A miniaturized version of the Buster Beam.
- Sizzler Tomahawk
- Based on the Buster Tomahawk, it has a destructive power equal to 800 kilotons of TNT.
- Chain Knuckle
- Based on the Buster Rocket Anchor, the forearm-mounted weapon fires a projectile that delivers a 100 million volt electric shock.
- Vulcan Blaster
- Based on the Buster Missile-mite, the forearm-mounted weapon is capable of inflicting 40 megatons of destruction per arm.
Trivia[]
- In the DVD short film Sizzler Project, the Sizzler's project approval code is "NCC-1701DACBE", which is a reference to the registry code of the starship USS Enterprise from the Star Trek franchise.
